A word about anesthesia for your facial rejuvenation surgery:

Here at the DeRosa Center Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, we are pleased to offer intravenous sedation for all of our surgeries involving facial rejuvenation, such as facelifts, brow lifts, eyelid lifts, as well as chin implants and liposuction and neck rejuvenation procedures. All of our surgeries are done with intravenous anesthesia, which is administered as a supplement to local anesthesia which is performed by me, your surgeon.

Even though a majority of office-based facial plastic surgeries in the Boston area are being performed with just local anesthesia, we feel that supplementing local anesthesia with intravenous medications is infinitely more comfortable and, most importantly, safer for you.

Intravenous anesthesia is also known as IV sedation, dissociate anesthesia, and "twilight sleep". It's administered by our Harvard-trained, board certified anesthesiologist physician. He has had over 20 years of direct clinical experience providing anesthesia services for facial plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation.

If you have any questions, please call us at the DeRosa Center and ask to speak with our anesthesiologist directly about your anesthesia care.
